EmpowerFit Personal Trainers are at the top of their field. Our clients are athletes, senior citizens, the overweight and underweight, kids and parents and best friends together.
Every EmpowerFit Personal Trainer has years of experience, and our trainers complete mandatory continuing education courses every month to ensure they remain the best in the Western District.
You can do Personal Training at EmpowerFit one-on-one, two-on-one, or in a private group of up to twelve.

I remember sitting on the couch on a Sunday afternoon receiving a message about going to the Couch to CrossFit program. I was not particularly interested but my daughter and her friend thought it might be a good idea for us all to do the 4 week challenge, after all it was only 4 weeks.
At this point I was very over weight, had not exercised for many years and was very stressed. I never thought CrossFit would be right for me, I thought it was for those who were already fit. The decision to get started was therefore a very challenging one and I felt very much out of my comfort zone.
After the first session and a number of days to recover(!!!!), I eventually got through the 4 week program and amazingly wanted to do more. I started with 2 sessions of personal training a week and it did not take long to see the results. I was losing a steady amount of weight each week, I had more energy and was managing my stress much better.Since February this year I have lost 20 kg. I have never felt healthier both physically and mentally and my confidence in everything I do has increased significantly. I even recently started coming along to some classes.
I have proved a lot of people wrong and many can’t believe how I have lost the weight. Not only are people commenting on my weight loss but how fit I look. There is no magic pill to being fit and healthy and this has only happened by working hard, challenging myself everyday and with the support the entire CrossFit team has given me, particularly Tewy my coach, who knows what else I can achieve”?
My journey with CrossFit started after a want to participate in the 2014 Serra Terra! I had always been involved in sport and fitness of some form growing up, then after having my two kids, time for me seemed to be the one thing I couldn’t find in my life.
I returned from Easter holidays keen to get started with training for the Serra Terra – only two months away!
At the time, I was trying to play basketball but frustrated with niggling constant calf issues, no way was I going to be ready! I was scrolling through Facebook and came across CrossFit Hamilton and the ‘Whole Life Challenge’ they were promoting. Talk about marketing catching my eye, “draw that line in the sand & just do it”, I read, and so I did!
Eight weeks of ‘pull my head in eating’, great lifestyle challenges to meet, and CrossFit! Wolfie took me through a Fundamentals session – I was lucky to walk out alive!!! I still remember hanging off the bar with double green bands and struggling to get a pull up. I was so disappointed with how I had let my body get to the point it had! That competitive, determined mind was back & I smashed the ‘Whole Life Challenge’!
The most important thing to me was how well I felt inside & out. Now as a regular 6:45am class member I love what CrossFit gives me. The calmness (well most of the time) I get from working hard in the box and eating right for me are just the lifestyle changes I needed. I have run off the rails at times with my nutrition and start wondering why I am feeling unwell. Joint issues etc sneak back in, so a nutrition check and commitment to get back on track is what I need to get the rewards of wellbeing.
I love the community CrossFit has created and the odd competitive WOD to try and match it especially with those fellas. Now two Serra terrors later, I am consistently playing basketball (keeping up with the younger ones too I might add) and constantly surprising myself at the box with what I keep chipping away at and am achieving! Thanks to everyone involved at CrossFit Hamilton, I am one very happy mum!
I was feeling quite low, self-conscious, overweight, tired and in total denial about why I felt like I did.
A great friend invited me to try CrossFit, I had every reason under the sun why I couldn’t go, and somehow she removed all the excuses until I had none left.
That 1st CrossFit session changed everything. Suddenly I had a goal, I had a place I could go where the coaches and all the strangers encouraged me, supported me and gave me new inspiration. Most importantly there was no judgement. Soon the strangers weren't strangers anymore.
That was five years ago and I can't imagine life without CrossFit Hamilton.
My journey started with the goal of weight loss, it soon changed to a desire of wanting to be able to do all those amazing things the others were doing. But there was still something holding me back – nutrition. So with lots of help (especially the Sugar Challenge and the Primal Life Challenge), suddenly I had the right information and support. Slowly I found I could do those things (well lots of them –I still have a few goats) and over time I lost 15kg plus. Now life wasn’t so hard anymore, in fact life was great! I could keep up with the family out in the bush, I wasn’t dragging up the rear – I was out in front, I could climb the mountain and scale the rocks, I can be a real help in the workshop and on the farm, even carting wood became fun!.I had to show off how much I could carry!
I’m more comfortable in my own skin now than I have ever been (even when I was a lighter spring chicken). In fact I don’t even weigh myself anymore, I gauge myself by how I feel and know if I don’t feel on top of the world it’s mostly because of nutrition. Having the knowledge to be able to identify what I need to change is extremely empowering.
For me CrossFit Hamilton is now about feeling well, feeling strong and jumping out of bed in the morning ready to take on a new day, but mostly for me CrossFit means that I CAN!
My journey at CrossFit has been watched by my kids, family and friends and I hope that this inspires them and that they too strive to be healthy, fit and strong. I hope that my example helps them to lead long, healthy and active lives.
